Get Set Cymru

GetSet Cymru is an R&D project by WorkWild, Severn Screen and ReScene It supported by Media Cymru. Starting in July 2025 and running for nine months the aim is to R&D a Circular Economy Centre which comprises:

  • A re-use hub to redirect waste streams from Welsh screen sector and other creative industries. This would likely have transport, processing, workshop, storage and a shop-front / hire service.

  • A light-industrial SME workspace for circular businesses creating value from the redirected waste streams. This would allow an eco-system of circular economy businesses to develop and grow solutions that support the green transition.

  • A training and demonstration space for circular design/fabrication with a full size set for industry training. This could also be used to connect underrepresented communities to skills and opportunities in the Welsh screen sector.

The project team have secured a pilot site for a re-use hub at Great Point Seren Studios.
