Set-Exhange.co.uk

Set-Exchange.co.uk is an online platform that exists to facilitate sustainability in Theatre, TV, Event and Exhibition production through the sharing of resources. They primarily serve theatre but are open to, and do include, film, TV, events and museums.  Run by a group of volunteers, they provide a directory style site free of charge to communities across the UK.

The project is made up of the following parts:

• The Message Board acts as a place to share resources that are no longer needed, including props, costume, set, lighting, and make them available to the wider community to take away and re-use. The platform is open to the wider community and all items on the forum are offered for free.

• The Props List is a central database of community resources currently available to hire or borrow. Users can add posts to the database and create a hire list from existing stock.

• The Suppliers List acts as a directory of production people and Companies such as Set Builders, Prop Makers, Costume Makers, Lighting and Sound Hire and more! Listings on the site are free.
