Remade in Park Royal

Re-Made in Park Royal is a new material exchange hub, connecting artists and makers with waste and surplus materials from local industries. Based in POW workshops, they focus on materials that can be used in the workshop.
With many local creatives already developing innovative solutions to use the waste materials they find in the streets and skips of the Park Royal area, Remade developed the idea to pilot a physical space where materials can be accessed safely and in response to the local needs and wants. Working closely with local businesses, clients can drop off items or they collect donations of leftover or unwanted materials and store them in their hub, offering a simple way for artists to access the materials they need. So far they have diverted more than 8.5 tonnes of material of which 80% has now been sold or donated including over 400 wooden pallets, 5 movie sets, 4 tonnes of clay, 2 shop interiors and 100kg of metal.
They are currently only accepting good quality donations of sheet wood, sheet metal, minimum 1m x 1m. Their materials have actively supported local community initiatives and projects such as Park Royal Clay, Park Royal benches, cladding in a local boxing gym, the studio walls for EX2 Studio and an assault course at a local forest school.
