Re-Set Scenery

Reset Scenery is a pioneering not for profit Community Interest Company, committed to creating transformative, sustainable and circular change in the Stage, Screen and events Industries’ replacing the current linear, Take, Make, Waste, production model with circular solutions. Founded in 2018, Reset have worked with clients such as the Scottish Opera, National Theatre of Scotland, Theatre Clwyd and local community set and costume designers to create a circular economy for creative industries in Glasgow

Reset offers clearance, drop off and collection options for client use, with circular solutions in place to then hire out, resell items and materials as well as reuse and recycle options. They host an inventory page of reclaimed items so clients can explore what is available, with prices up to 45% cheaper than new from scratch items.

They manage material separation to ensure no mixed waste landfill is diverted from site. With skills based tailored training sessions, they combine teaching construction techniques alongside sustainable practice as well as supporting companies to measure and reduce their own carbon costs. Their impact measuring includes weighing and assessing every item received and calculating embodied carbon using a bespoke carbon calculator.  They also measure the number of sales, hires and free to School engagements, tracking each item's reuse and eventual outcomes and give a full overview of the life cycle of an item.
