PropUp Project

PropUp Project is an award winning non profit organisation that provides a social and sustainable clearance solution for the TV and film industry. They focus their work on the 3R's: rehome, resell and recycle; offering reuse potential for a wide range of materials including props, costume, set and production equipment. Their model encourages a circular economy, prevents waste and supports fantastic community causes.
Whilst they are based between two Hubs in London (Brixton and Warren Street) - they operate nationwide, offering everything from set strikes to storage clears and even public sales. They provide comprehensive impact reporting, outlining an overview of an item’s reuse journey to help support a company's social and sustainable goals.
After first hand experience in the industry, they set up PropUp to take the hassle off production's hands by managing the whole process from inventory right through to distribution. Where possible, they collect and distribute items by e-van, bike or foot, with a particular focus on supporting local, to help communities potentially impacted by filming and keep the carbon footprint down.
Via set sales, they offer the welcome opportunity to redistribute and potentially recoup production budget by selling high quality items at public sales and back to the industry.
With a diverse range of activities, PropUp offers bespoke services to production companies, studios and broadcasters across the UK.
