ReStage grabs the attention of Innovate UK for Earthshot Prize 2027
A production ends. The value of its materials shouldn’t. 955,000 tonnes of production waste can be transformed into a ReUse and ReSale circular economy.
ReStage is delighted to have been nominated for The Earthshot Prize 2027 by Innovate UK, part of UK Research and Innovation (UKRI), joining an inspiring group of organisations working on solutions to some of the world's most pressing environmental challenges.
Widely recognised as the world's most prestigious environmental prize, The Earthshot Prize seeks to identify, celebrate and scale innovative solutions that help repair and regenerate our planet by 2030. We were also thrilled to have Official Nominator Kevin Dunckley.
ReStage’s framework for ReUse at scale across the UK (and the ability to scale up and down globally) directly addresses how we Build a Waste Free World. Earthshot’s belief that urgency and optimism drive action reflects our mission to solution-building the circular infrastructure needed to keep materials, staging and props in use across stage and screen.
More than 100 professionals across sectors helped devise the ReStage Script that guides our Roadmap. This nomination belongs to everyone in the ReStage Collective that helped shape our script, across three pillars: physical infrastructure, institutional capacity-building and innovation.
Now, we need to build the Circular Production Hubs, link the network through efficient transport, scale up collectively to drive the supply and make it attractive demand. With Earthshot support, we could propel that progress and share evidence and practical lessons internationally—informing other countries and sectors to value existing and resilient resources and divert the mass exodus to landfill.
